Personality and growth
For adults and older teens who want a clear picture of how they're wired, and to put it to use at work, at school and in relationships. Formal personality tests, not the quizzes you've taken online.
Psychological assessment · Adults, and children from age 6
If you're considering an assessment, it probably isn't the first thing you've tried. You want a straight answer about what's going on, and something you can do with it.
Six steps, from your question to follow-up
Your question. We meet. You tell me what is happening, and we agree on the question the testing has to answer.
Hypotheses. I write down the likely explanations, in a form the tests can confirm or rule out.
Testing. Standardized tests, chosen for your question rather than taken from a fixed list.
Report. A written report in plain language that answers the question. Often within a week of testing.
Feedback. We go through the findings together and decide what to do with them at work, at school or at home.
Follow-up. We meet again three to six months later to see what has worked and adjust what has not.
Testing sessions
Between 45 minutes and four hours each, depending on the tests. One or two sessions is usually enough. Now and then an early result calls for one more.
The report
Written in plain language, often within a week of testing. If a diagnosis is needed for accommodations at school or work, it's there. The report also describes what is working for you, and what to build on.
Cost
Private pay. The cost depends on the tests your question needs, so I quote it after the call, once I've prepared a plan for you.
Not sure which? That's what the call is for
For adults and older teens who want a clear picture of how they're wired, and to put it to use at work, at school and in relationships. Formal personality tests, not the quizzes you've taken online.
How a student's profile meets the demands of school: memory, attention, planning, starting and finishing work. It can support accommodation requests at school, in college and on standardized tests.
A standardized measure of reasoning and problem solving, sometimes needed for school or program applications.
Reading, writing, math and oral language, measured against age or grade.
Assessment and therapy can also work together. A closer look at personality and core capacities can sharpen the therapy and speed it up. How therapy works.
I don't do forensic, custody or court-ordered evaluations.
The next step
You tell me what changed and what you're hoping for. I tell you whether I can help, what it costs and what would come next. If I'm not the right person, I say so and point you to someone who is.
